What is an Ambassador?

A Big Hearts Ambassador is a volunteer that serves as the liaison between the family and the host outfitter. They help with logistics, document the trip with photos, as well as ensuring the it is as successful and positive as possible for each family.

The Ambassador will also be responsible for hosting a Celebration Dinner for the family on the last night of the trip.

How it works

After the Big Hearts Program Manager has finalized logistics and confirmed the trip details, we will provide the assigned Ambassador with background information and contacts for all parties involved (the family, the outfitter, taxidermist, etc.). This allows for final coordination and for everyone to get acquainted. An Ambassador can expect to make a few check-ins leading up to the trip, but will not have to handle any major planning.

Once the family arrives on site, the Ambassador will provide pickup from the airport if necessary and escort them to the outfitter to ensure they get settled in to their accommodations. Throughout the stay, Ambassadors take photos, documenting each day, and ensure that all needs are met by the family and hosting outfitter.

On the final day of the trip, before each family departs, Big Hearts holds a Celebration Dinner in honor of the trip participant and their family. The Ambassador will have prepared photos from their stay to show with dinner and will present them with a few traditional Big Hearts keepsakes that we will provide specifically for each family.
